Visual Description: Our heroes at the golf links!
WARLC = CRAWL, ONDUM = MOUND, PEERRF = PREFER, POMSIE = IMPOSE — Giving us: CALOUNREEMOSE
Clue/Question: After finishing the 18th hole, they stopped to eat a . . .
Answer: ONE-COURSE MEAL
(Wouldn’t fish AND chips constitute a two-course meal??? I guess it’s because they just played the course. The singular course. At St. Andrews? Not as loopy as yesterday’s, but a little out there! No new clue words. No real head scratchers. I thought the answer letter layout was the saving grace. I liked the cartoon, too. Classic sinking sailboat on the horizon. The sea-side golf course. The little Scotsman. Put it all together and it’s a little strange . . . but cute. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

HERE IS A CLUE YUIR…”he who does not understand” etc”.
Too big a clue, Don. Look at Art’s and the anonymous clues. That’s what I was looking for. Just a leg up, not an entitlement package.
And, Anonymous from Nashville . . . c’mon, bub! If you can solve a cryptoquote you have to be able to read. If you want to show off . . . then start your own blog. Geez Louise!

Often the answer comes before even dealing with the words. Sometimes not. But this answer was particularly lame.
Well, impose took a few…dastardly vowel beginning words! And I had to work on the puzzle. I studied it — didn’t get the Scotland reference, not that it would have made a difference. Saw the sinking sail boat, and was thinking maybe there was a clue there. Finally wrote down all of the golf references I could think of…course hit, but had to figure out why. You know, these puzzles, most of the time, just don’t come, I do have to work for them! I thought it was cute and puzzling! Thanks Unc!
My pleasure, LindaLee!

Heh, LindaLee, you suffer from the same ailment as me: that annoying vowel-starting-word symdrome. I did get IMPOSE rather quickly, though, this time. MOUND made me crazy again. YUR, didn’t we just have that recently? GOLF? Any cartoon that has golf in it, I will love! I’m ready!
Looks like I’m in good company Lesley!
