(Sorry about the late Saturday posting, Rebecca!  I had to bring some work home with me this weekend.  I’m just finishing up my dinner break, actually.  There were some interesting things in today’s Jumble.  I had a difficult time getting “omega”.  Not so bad that I had to back into it, or anything, but it was a challenge.  Surprisingly, “broke” is not in the ralis95 clue word database.  Both broken and broker are though!  Ya never know.  Both “nausea” and “hermit” are old stand-byes, though they were jumbled very nicely.  Apparently, the answer letter layout was pretty challenging!  I think Hoyt did an excellent job, but – of course – I got it right away.  Probably because of Knurek’s great cartoon!  That’s about it, folks.  Gotta crank out the Cryptoquote Spoiler and then get back to work, for another hour or two.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided gorge carved by the Colorado River in the U.S. state of Arizona. It is largely contained within the Grand Canyon National Park ? one of the first national parks in the United States. President Theodore Roosevelt was a major proponent of preservation of the Grand Canyon area, and visited on numerous occasions to hunt and enjoy the scenery. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Answer:  GORGED

(According to the rali95 clue word database, we have three new clue words in today’s puzzle!  It appears that “graft”, “defeat” and “hoofed” are all new!  Not a lot you can do with an answer letter layout with so few letters, so I guess today’s was just okay.  Beautiful cartoon, though!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

A man can stand a lot as long as he can stand himself.”   —   Axel Munthe

(Axel Foley . . . I’m familiar with!  Axel Rose . . . I’m familiar with!  But, Axel Munthe is new to me.  But, he makes a nice quote.  Here is the remainder of it:  “He can live without hope, without friends, without books, even without music, as long as he can listen to his own thoughts.”  This, I can relate to.  Fortunately, I have a blog where I can at least rant and rave what I perceive to be the truth.  Whether, or not, you all decide to listen to me is entirely up to you!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
