Visual Description: Six screens, one message. American propaganda at its finest!
SIRBK = BRISK, LAVUT = VAULT, CUREED = REDUCE, PAYRAL = PARLAY — Giving us: BISLTEERLY
Clue/Question: When the actress started appearing in commercials, she became a . . .
Answer: “SELL–EBRITY“
(Lots of hits, today! The clue words weren’t all that tough, so I’m guessing many of you struggled with the answer. We actually did have two new clue words, today. Both “vault” and “parlay” are going to be new additions to the ralis95 clue word database. I liked the jumbling of “vault”. I like it when David takes a one syllable word and makes the jumble look like two syllables. “Parlay” is a great word. Outside of gambling circles, you really don’t hear it used that often. The answer letter layout is largely responsible for so many of your struggles. Hoyt did a bang up job on it! Nicely cryptic, indeed. Of course the answer was a major groaner of a pun. A real stinker. Even I had to wince, a bit. LOL! Gotta run. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Bother – that one was impossible. I personally will put the letters into alphabetical order if the answer isn’t immediately obvious, so the default ordering means nothing.
Parlay is sometimes heard in a general financial sense, “He parlayed his original $5 investment into a majority ownership of Google.”

UNC- Got all the clue words with no problem, but the final answer killed me. I had to “SELL” out, (no pun intended) and cheat…… Please forgive me. WIMPY
To each his own, Art. To me, alphabetical order means nothing. And, lots of people consider the stock market a form of gambling. Fun today, huh?

You are forgiven, Wimpy! LOL! — YUR
The “answer” was a lot harder than usual … but after I put it aside and spent a few minutes on eBay, it suddenly dawned on me!
Oh My WORD! I all but threw in the towel on this one. Got the words unjumbled–but had to work on a couple of them. I thought the first word of the answer was “best” and tried to make something that made sense out of the rest of the letters… best celebrity, best seller….of course nothing came close to working. Then I kept going back to sell, but could get no further. And I did not want to look at the answer because I knew I would be mad at myself….then I studied the puzzle — AGAIN — and thought about her being a celebrity….then after a few minutes … ding, ding, ding — I got the diabolical puzzle solved! Good show guyz!
