Answer: “BEAR“ TRAFFIC CONTROL
(Wow! Eighteen letters in the answer! Very ambitious, guys. I suppose some are going to come up with BEAR CONTROL TRAFFIC, or BARE CONTROL TRAFFIC, or BARE TRAFFIC CONTROL even! I think I got it right, though. Some of the faithful readers might chime in, otherwise I guess I’ll just have to wait until next Sunday! No new clue words today, but the jumbling was fantastic! I struggled some with both “pencil” and “trophy”. And, we’ve had the jumble “porthy” before! The answer letter layout was also a thing of beauty. And, I always enjoy when Jeff does his best Hanna-Barbera impression. Now, those guys knew how to do cartoons! Not like this anime crap that kids watch today! Ooh, don’t get me started! LOL. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

UNC- I got BEAR TRAFFIC CONTROL as well. Have a Great Sunday. (pitchers and catchers report tommorrow. GO YANKS) Wimpy
I went with “BEAR” because of the quotation marks.
I’m a little slow. Who is “YUR” – who is writing comments? I’m sure glad you hooked me up to this. Thank you! Dee’s party was great! We could do that at Camelot for our friends! Oh – wait – we’d have to spend time in the kitchen cooking – aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh! R
@ Wimpy,
That’s the first sign of Spring, bud!
@ Max,
With your name I thought you would have gone with Baer!

Got it! Bear Traffic Control…but it took some time and brain power. I thought pencil was rather diabolic!! And falter was not a breeze! BUT, great puzzle.
Hi, ya! Checking in from Jersey! I worked on this Jumble for 3 days! Finally, I caved. PENCIL was impossible because I never thought to pronounce the C like the S sound. I got as far as FLATER on FALTER and gave up. Therefore, CONTROL was the only clear word for me. I’m rusty! Looking carefully, are the air traffic controller’s hands up in the air in frustration?
