(In today’s age of entitlement that might be a hard sell.  On today’s Face The Nation, I believe I heard Newt Gingrich say that one in thirteen Americans are now living on disability.  One in thirteen is a national disgrace!  Today’s jobs in America may not be great, and I definitely know they’re not plentiful, but c’mon people!  Show some self-respect, for Christ’s sake!  Obviously, there are some who truly belong on disability, but far too many are just plain leeches.  Show some pride, deadbeats.  You know who you are.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(Different cartoon, but I’m fairly sure this gag has been used before, except with an elevator.  No new clue words, today.  The jumbling of the clue words was less than inspiring.  Too many double letters, “smooth” was simply backwards, and “plight” was nearly backwards, to my eyes.  I guess the jumble I liked best was “unless”!  On the other hand, the answer letter layout was superb!  Nice cartoon, Jeff.  Who in your family is a leftie?  I see Sydney is into baking, and Kathy has a flair for design.  And of course, you just had to have a Jumble store!  Mugs, books, calendars, what-have-yous.  Unclerave is planning on opening stores in malls across the country.  I’m calling them House of Grouse!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
