Pizza Margareta

Visual Description:  “That’s (NOT) amoré!”

TYPTE  =  PETTY,  KEREC  =  CREEK,  REHYOT  =  THEORY,  OJILAV  =  JOVIAL   —   Giving us:  PETCEETRYIA

Clue/Question:  The argument about the pizzas ended with a . . .

Answer:  PIECE TREATY

(I liked it!  A “piece” is a “slice”, and it’s also a homophone for peace!  I still think Jeff Knurek has some repressed issues with women.  The one is just plain . . . unattractive, while the other one looks like a shrew.  I mean, I get that they’re arguing, but still.  I’m beginning to worry about our boy!  Great clue word jumbling, today.  Not sure if any of them are new, as I don’t have access to the ralis95 clue word database.  They all appear to be tried and true, but I couldn’t swear to it.  I got lazy and backed into “theory”.  Nice job on that one, Hoyt.  And, the answer letter layout was definitely above average.  One thing the cartoon is succeeding at, is that now I’m in the mood for pizza.  Not sure if my daughter will let us get any.  Whenever she’s home from school she tries to break us of our dependence on fast food.  She’s right, of course, but we just don’t have the time to cook healthier fare, ourselves.  Maybe she’ll cook something for us!  Don’t eat too much pizza and stuff, today.  Tomorrow is the big turkey and all the fixin’s day!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Rage is the only quality which has kept me, or anybody I have ever studied, writing columns for newspapers.”   —   Jimmy Breslin

(Ironically, this is both the first Breslin quote since I’ve been posting these spoilers, and my daughter was just telling me about The Breslin Bar & Dining Room, last night.  There doesn’t seem to be any connection between the two, but I did question whether the establishment was named for the man.  Life is funny that way.  Be well and do good, friends.  Be safe, getting to your Thanksgiving destinations!)   —   YUR

Visual Description:  Prague’s patented pastime.

SEYZT  =  ZESTY,  CHITK  =  THICK,  DACIEV  =  ADVICE,  NIMLEG  =  MINGLE   —   Giving us:  ZETHCACME

Clue/Question:  He played chess in Prague with his . . .

Answer:  CZECH MATE

(This woman is almost as evil as the grimace on her face.  I wouldn’t play anything with the shrew!  Pretty basic clue words, today.  Don’t think that anything is new.  The jumbling was pretty decent.  I think that “advice” probably gave people the most difficulty.  Great answer letter layout, and an even better cartoon.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

I have made mistakes but I have never made the mistake of claiming that I have never made one.”   —   James Gordon Bennett

(Can’t say as I’ve ever heard of the man.  Senior, or Junior???  Probably Junior.  But, I DO like his style.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
