Visual Description:  Tough decisions on the gridiron.

ZAAME  =  AMAZE,  GUNST  =  STUNG,  PLASIR  =  SPIRAL,  OPLAST  =  POSTAL   —   Giving us:  AMETNSIAPSA

Clue/Question:  When it came time to decide on a starting quarterback, the coach was . . .

Answer:  AT AN IMPASSE

(This one is a bit of a stretch for the double meaning/play on words, but . . .   The partial word “pass” ties in the football angle.  Where’s Earl Morrall???  The clue words were all jumbled exceptionally well.  The toughest one for me was “spiral”.  PLASIR is the French word for pleasure.  I still remember a bit of my high school French.  “Postal” took a bit of thought as well, but not as much as “spiral”.  Excellent answer letter layout.  Absolutely no give away.  And, a great Jeff Knurek cartoon.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
