(That Jeff Knurek! He really likes the state of Maine! “Where America’s Day Begins” or “Maine: We’re Really Cold, But We Have Cheap Lobster” They’ve got some great parks and mountains too. It’s not all about the lobster, although I’m sure most tourist go there expecting to eat a nice big one.
Interesting jumbling of the clue words, today. I really liked the way “shown” was laid out. We have another surprising new clue word to add to the ralis95 database, in “mumble”. The answer letter layout was beautifully cryptic. The answer itself was fairly evident. However, it’s a cute cartoon, and the whole thing worked well.

Had it not been for the answer being “fairly evident,” I might have worked a bit on Maine as I wasn’t getting it! Dish I had and figured that had to be right. Then I studied the puzzle, and …..bing,bing,bing!
Hoyt must be working overtime, getting new words to challenge my ability to solve his jumbles! MUMBLE is a great addition to the word database. I couldn’t decipher it visually and kept trying to make it into EMBLUM, but it knew that was wrong. The puzzle answer of MAINE DISH was very simple, so I solved it and backed into the EM/ME letter position combination, which still left me with emblum. Talk about getting stuck on one word. I had to check into your site to finally the get the MUMBLE – but I claimed overall victory in the sense that my answer to the jumble was correct.
Didn’t see your spoiler this morning (my time) when I looked, so I took time to watch ND beat my Dad’s Alma Mater, then watched the latest Jesse Stone Movie, before trying your site again.
Today’s the first day of Fall and October is rushing down the path towards us. Guess it’s time to start the build-up to the next “Ralis95 Challenge Puzzle” for your readers. We’ll talk about it some more before we release it to your readers to solve on Halloween.
Sounds like a plan, Stan!
With some new endeavors, it looks like I may be posting these spoilers later than everyone is accustomed to. Hopefully, when I’m better situated, I’ll be able to get back to posting them in a more timely fashion. Fair warning. And, I’m hoping for everyone’s understanding.
