(He should be singing Born in the U.S.A.!  I think Jeff was a little rushed himself, on this cartoon!  A passable George and Teddy, but Thomas looks more like a John Adams/Ben Franklin hybrid.  and, old Abe looks more like Thomas Jefferson with three or four days of growth on his chin!  That’s it, Knurek!  You’re fired!  Someone get me Dean Young on the phone!  LOL!

Nicely jumbled, but pretty simple clue words, today.  It looks like “sunken” is new though!  ralis95 will have to update his clue word database.  I liked the answer letter layout.  Nothing given away there.  I kid Jeff, but – as tiny as he is – that’s not a bad Mighty Max, on the skins!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

It is only in sorrow bad weather masters us; in joy we face the storm and defy it.”   —   Amelia Barr

(We can rise above the gloom of a rainy day!  This is my very first Amelia Barr quotation, and I think it’s a good one.  From Lancashire, England to Galveston, Texas then to Ridgewood, NJ then to Cornwall on Hudson, NY and eventually to White Plains, NY . . . this woman definitely got around.  I wonder if it’s possible to visit her house, Cherry Croft, in Cornwall on Hudson?  It’s only about 33 miles from me!  Be well and do good friends.)   —   YUR

Clue/Question:  The Cyclops was suspicious of his daughter’s new boyfriend and would . . .

Answer:  KEEP AN EYE ON HIM

(Beautiful!  You can almost see the Cyclops doing the Robert De Niro pantomime thing he does in movies like Meet the ParentsYou know the one I’m talking about.  All dads are suspicious of their daughter’s boyfriends.  That’s because no boy is going to be good enough for his baby!  There were no new clue words for this Jumble.  None of the clue words stumped me, but they were well jumbled.  The answer letter layout was pretty good.  The real fun is in the cartoon of this one.  It’s nice to see that even mythical monsters take time out to do the Jumble!  I wonder if he’s ever commented on the Uncle Rave site???   Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  Sorry about the lateness of this posting!  I was away most of last weekend, and I kept getting delayed in getting caught up.  I’m just barely beating tomorrow’s deadline!   —   YUR

The glory of great men must always be measured against the means that they have used to acquire it.”   —   La Rochefoucauld

(Horatio Alger types, like Ronald Reagan, are much more impressive stories than the George W. Bush and Mitt Romney types.  Sorry about the lateness of this posting!  I was away most of last weekend, and I kept getting delayed in getting caught up.  I’m just barely beating tomorrow’s deadline!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
