Visual Description:  An adventurer with lofty goals.

GOIOL  =  IGLOO,  MEHET  =  THEME,  GLITHP  =  PLIGHT,  TTRISH  =  THIRST   —   Giving us:  GOHEPHHIS

Clue/Question:  When it came to his new hot-air balloon designs, he had . . .

Answer:  HIGH HOPES

(“Everyone knows an ant . . . can’t . . . move a rubber tree plant!  But, he’s got hi-i-gh hopes!”  Cute Sinatra song, from the movie “A Hole in the Head“.  Takes place in Miami, and it has a top-notch cast.  I haven’t seen it in years, but it was very memorable.

Nice jumbling of the clue words, today.  I got both “igloo” and “theme” immediately, but I had to think a bit to get “thirst”.  Surprisingly, I saw “plight” right away too, but it’s actually a new clue word to the Jumble.  ralis95 will have to update his clue word database, once again!  I really liked the answer letter layout, too.  The answer did not come to me right away.  I didn’t struggle a lot, but I did have to give it some thought.

I was away for the weekend, so I just finished the Sunday puzzles.  I was able to get the Saturday ones up by Sunday night, just beating this morning’s answers by a few hours.  I’m a little behind the eight ball, so I won’t be posting the Sunday spoilers until tomorrow.  I thank you guys for your patience.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Cryptoquote Spoiler – 09/10/12

Do not take life too seriously.  You will never get out of it alive.”   —   Elbert Hubbard

(Very clever.  We haven’t had a Elbert Hubbard quote, here, in a while.  I haven’t heard this quote recently, but I’ve always enjoyed it.  Even if we live to 100, like George Burns did, eventually the grim reaper catches up to us all.  People care too much about their legacy, and how they’ll be remembered.  But, unless you become a major historical figure, chances are you’ll – essentially – be forgotten within two to three generations anyway!  Don’t become a total bum, but take it a little easier on yourself.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
