Visual Description:  Domicile dweller not digging this drilling dilemma.

VARLA  =  LARVA,  LIDLR  =  DRILL,  TONRWH  =  THROWN,  SEEDIB  =  BESIDE   —   Giving us:  LDLWNEE

Clue/Question:  Their attempt to drill for water didn’t . . .

Answer:  END WELL

(Well, well, well!  What  do  we  have  here?  I thought we were looking at your basic classic Jumble clue words, but as it turns out “thrown” is new!  ralis95 will have to update the clue word database.  The word throw is also not in the database, but for good reason.  Those letters can spell a handful of words.  The clue words were all jumbled well, but none were all that difficult to get.  I liked the answer letter layout.  Very nicely done.  But, it reminds me that I have to have my cholesterol levels checked.  I thought it was a little strange to see the word “drill” three times in the puzzle.  Once as a clue word, once in the character dialog and once in the clue/question.  Drill, drill, drill!  What up wit dat?  Not big fans of renewable energy???  What are you, Michael Steele republicans???  Get  off of my blog, you stinkin’ defilers of the earth!  I’m un-friending you, right now!  How you like dem apples, buckos?!  All the rest of you . . . be well and do good.)   —   YUR   😉

All that is needed is a baby in the picture to complete the mantra.

In regard to the DRILL thing. That was an accident. I didn’t have the cartoon in front of me when I was crafting the four words for the puzzle. I’ll have to rember this could happen going forward. Just accidently happened to turn out that way that I’d choose a word that happened to appear elswhere.

I’m back! Super easy puzzle! I was in Jumble withdrawal. My mom was visiting for a week from SC, and she made me do crossword puzzles with her. I HATE crossword puzzles. I’m so glad to be jumbling again!

Unclerave’s Wordy Weblog has missed you, Ms. Lesley! Welcome back! I actually enjoy crossword puzzles. There’s a lot of different ones out there. Some are fairly easy, even the NY Times one isn’t too tough early in the week. They can take up a lot of time when they’re difficult. Ones with themes, or quips broken into segments can be fun, as long as you pick up on them.

Check out the Sunday Jumble Spoiler (08/26/12), posted late on 08/28/12.
