Clue/Question:  When Beatles fans were asked if they liked the song “She Loves You,” they said . . .

Answer:  YEAH YEAH YEAH

(When this song first came out you were either infected with it, or repulsed by it.  I remember my cousin Doug, who’s a year younger than me, saying that he hated the song, but he couldn’t stop singing it!  To the point that it actually made him cry!  He was always a funny kid.  He was one of those kids who was deathly afraid of clowns.  He kind of put a damper on going to the circus.  He also loved peanuts, but couldn’t stand peanut butter.  He was probably the first person, in my life, to make me realize that people could be different/strange.  Idiosyncratically, of course.  At the core, we’re pretty much the same.  We just all have our little quirks and preferences.  Great guy, that Doug.

Nice jumbling of the clue words.  I especially liked “agency” and “hyphen”.  None of the words were new, but they were fairly challenging.  I thought the answer letter layout would have been better, had “eagle” and “yahoo” been switched around.  But, that’s just me.  I always like the history-based Jumbles!  All those girls, now, would be grandmothers!  Yikes!  Oh well.  Time marches on.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  Today  is the 100th anniversary of Gene Kelly‘s birth!  And John Lennon married his first wife, Cynthia, on this date in 1962.  Today is also Shelly Long’s birthday, as well as actor Jay Mohr, skater Nicole Bobek, singer Julian Casablancas and basketball players Kobe Bryant AND Jeremy Lin.  Just so you know.   —   YUR

Counsel woven into the fabric of real life is wisdom.”   —   Walter Benjamin

(This one gave me fits.  I almost had to ask you guys for a starter clue!  The V was always a strong contender for E, but there wasn’t a whole lot to work with here.  After playing around, I finally went with the INTO THE and IS WISDOM, then it really started to come together.  Very tough.  The author name also made it tough.  This is his first cryptoquote since I’ve been posting the spoilers.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
