“All the pessimists in world history are nothing against reality.” — Elias Canetti
(I couldn’t find this quotation as written. It’s missing a fairly superfluous word in “together”. Here is the quote as I’m seeing it: “All the pessimists in world history together are nothing against reality.” I guess somebody made an executive decision. It’s kind of a strange quote, anyway. What does outlook, one way or the other, have to do with reality? Unless that’s kind of the point. Might as well be an optimist. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
PS. I have no idea why Zemanta brought up this magazine cover from the ’50s, as part of it’s Media Gallery offerings, but I’m never averse to a little cheesecake! So . . . enjoy! — YUR

YES! I solved the cryptoquote, but I did feel as something was missing.
Thanks, for making my day!
My pleasure, I’m sure.

Not having the answer for us was a low blow – just like Death Valley is the lowest place on earth. I notice from the jumble picture that the movie crew is very small – must be a low budget film. Hope that helps someone! Thanks YUR!!
I haven’t been around here very long, so perhaps this is old and uninteresting, but: I really dislike Cryptos where there’s a unique letter in someone’s name and it’s completely un-obvious. I had a “J” rather than a “C” in “?ANETTI”. Sure I could Google the wretched thing, but I resent something that can’t be intellectually deduced.
Art
Art,
Not old, or uninteresting, at all! I’m with you, Art! Not with “J” though. I had it down to “C” and “Z”, with a long-shot option on “V”. I used to work with a John Zanetti some years ago, and I was thinking these three letters gave me the best chances for what looked to be an Italian surname. I try to write it off as *my bad*, for not knowing more authors/famous quotable people, but I do share in your frustration. The funny thing is, it looks like we’ve had an Elias Canetti cryptoquote before. That really makes me feel foolish!
