(Great pun, and a great cartoon!  None of the clue words were new today, but they were all well jumbled.  I was particularly impressed with “messy” and “biceps”.  The answer letter layout was very good today as well.  The next time I go to southern Florida I’m going to look for one of these rides!  You don’t really expect to see them in places like Tallahassee, or even Orlando, although there are probably still some in those areas.  But, you do kind of expect to see them in suburban and rural south Florida.  A few years back, the wife and I went to spend some winter vacations in the Naples area.  I never saw a single alligator, in a gully or canal, or even on a golf course, in all the time I was there.  I finally had to visit a zoo, where they had a whole environment set up for them.  They know that it doesn’t pay to try to get through those fences, but you can’t help but feel a bit unnerved by the sight of them so close up.  They are scary master predators, and I kinda felt like a chicken dinner.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

You don’t have to go all the way to south Florida to see gators . We have them all over down here . Where there is water , there’s gators. They travel through storm drains or even cross roads to get from pond to pond . Imagine having one or more sunning in your back yard if you live near a pond. St. Petey.

    St. Petey,

That’s one of the reasons I was so frustrated! I thought I would see plenty of them, but no luck! We even drove out a ways on Rte 75, looking for an Indian casino. We didn’t find it, but also I didn’t see a single gator! The development we were staying at had a system of ponds and canals, but I didn’t see one . . . either time I stayed there. I felt cheated.
