Visual Description: Unfortunately, an all too frequent scene in organized children’s sports.

Clue/Question: The little league coach was this when arguing the call.
Answer: OFF–BASE
(Not bad. Not great, but I’m a sucker for sports themed slices of real life scenarios. A good coach, especially in little league, needs to strike a healthy balance. He has to inspire a measured level of competitiveness, because this “everyone’s a winner” mentality is pure nonsense. And, he also needs to foster the concept of good sportsmanship. Sure, winning is important, but life isn’t all that short. We’re all going to experience the peaks and valleys that make life interesting and meaningful. Learning to properly handle both the highs and the lows makes for a beautiful kind of harmony. Ya feelin’ me, baby? Can you dig it?
There was one new clue word today in “offend”. And, all were jumbled well. The answer letter layout was sufficiently jumbled, as well. Nothing obvious. No giveaway. I love the expressions on the kids faces, and the honesty of the runner. Play ball! Be well and do good, friends. Oh, yeah. And doing good includes playing fair . . . of course.) — YUR
PS. Speaking of Cats. Huh? It’s one of the teams in the cartoon. I’d like to wish my Kat a Happy Birthday! My “baby” turned 21 early this morning. She’s 3000 miles from me, right now, but she’s always with me. — YUR (Dad)
