Raches (and a greyhound) pursuing the hart from Livre de la Chasse, a 15th century MS of Gaston Phoebus (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Visual Description:  Busted buck, looks at his wife and says:  Doe!

NEAXN  =  ANNEX,  RIDYT  =  DIRTY,  GRELYC  =  CLERGY,  EZESNE  =  SNEEZE   —   Giving us:  EDYERSE

Clue/Question:  When the doe asked the buck to take out the garbage, the buck said this.

Answer:  YES, DEER

(Are you guys getting a little lazy, or something?  I’m almost positive that we have seen this very Jumble, sometime in the past.  Furthermore – sounds much more impressive than “And”, no? – the simplicity of today’s entry almost makes it qualify as a Jumble Kids puzzle.  No new clue words, today.  They were all jumbled well, but nothing was all that difficult.  The answer letter layout gave nothing away.  As if!  Cute cartoon, though.  The only thing that I really liked about today’s Jumble is that it reminded me of my Dad.  When I was a kid, he used to go deer hunting.  I don’t remember him ever bringing one home.  That could have been in deference to my MomShe vividly remembers seeing Bambi, when it first came out, and it has stayed with her to this day.  One of the last Christmas presents I gave my Dad was a sweatshirt that had a leaping buck, in a wooded setting, on it.  He was always a country boy/farmer at heart.  Anyway, he would have turned 78 today, if he was still with us.  So, this gives me the opportunity to wish my Dad a Happy Birthday . . . wherever you are!  And, I get to start the Father’s Day greetings a day early.  Happy Father’s Day to my Dad, and all the Dads out there!  My Dad was far from ideal, but I miss him anyway.  Be well, do good . . . and honor thy father, friends.)   —   YUR

ANNEX of course was a problem for me, but I agree, YUR, that the Jumble today was pretty easy. I don’t remember the same cartoon, but I do remember those deer before. I love the man’s head mounted on the wall! Haaaa! Your comments were a nice tribute to your dad.
