“I stand fearlessly for small dogs, the American flag, motherhood and the Bible. That’s why people love me.” — Art Linkletter
(Well, I stand valiantly for BIG dogs, the Canadian flag, cousinhood and People Magazine. That’s why people just kinda scratch their heads when they think of me. I always loved Art Linkletter, but not for the pandering reasons he stated. He was an intelligent, humorous and good-natured radio/television host/personality. I grew up watching him. He was great with kids. We all loved his facial expressions and reactions to the silly, and sometimes profound, things that kids would say. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with his druthers. It’s just not why he was loved. Uncle’s say the darndest things! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
