( . . . or maybe she was playing for the other team?!?!  Just kidding.  I enjoy the sports themed puzzles.  I know that some don’t, but like ’em or not sports are a part of almost every culture.  Being all consumed by sports isn’t any healthier than any being all consumed by another segment of society.  I think it’s good to strive for a balance when it comes to interests.  Far too many people have such a narrow focus on the world and life.  In many cases it might make them good in their field, but it usually makes them interesting only to their group of peers.  Variety and diversity of interests make for a little more excitement.   Blah, blah, blah.

I zipped through all of the clue words, today.  They were all jumbled well, I just didn’t run into any stumpers.  Surprisingly, the word “doctor” is new as a jumble clue word.  Looks like ralis95 will be adding it to his database.  Very good answer letter layout.  No giveaways.  At first, I thought I might have gotten a clue word wrong, because my initial impression was NOT IN HIS LEAGUE.  However, I quickly realized the error of my thinking, and came up with the right answer.  Very clear cartoon.  Be well, do good and don’t worry about someone being better than you.  Life’s too short for that crap.)   —   YUR

Fanaticism consists in redoubling your effort when you have forgotten your aim.”   —   George Santayana

(Funny coincidence.  I just saw Woodward and Bernstein on Face The Nation, talking about the upcoming 40th anniversary of the Watergate break in.  I don’t like to speak ill of the dead, but wow!  What a vindictive and ruthless character Nixon was.  He had some very valuable accomplishments, but Geez Louise!  Be well, do good . . . and don’t bear these kind of grudges, friends.)   —   YUR
