(That Hélio guy. He won Dancing With The Stars a few seasons ago. Right? I used to watch auto racing, during my teen years. I guess speed used to mean more to me then, than it does now. I understand that there’s a lot more to it than that. But, nowadays, I’d rather watch team sports, or the ponies.
There were some interesting clue words, today. “Stodgy” is always fun. Very soon it’s going to apply to me. I really liked the jumbling of “throat” and “menace”. And, it looks like ralis95 will be adding “deduct” to his clue word database. The answer letter layout was good and jumbled! Nothing obvious in today’s answer letters. You really had to pick up on the verbal clues in the cartoon to get today’s answer. I’m wondering now if this is running a week late. The Indy 500 was last weekend. You boys got anything planned for the Belmont Stakes? U know yer Uncle is going to be looking at Unstoppable U. Don’t you? It’s the year of the U! Just humor me, folks. Well, I certainly did not know the difference about the race and really enjoyed the puzzle. As a matter of fact, I was on a roll today — I got caught up on all puzzles from LAST Monday (Memorial Day) through yesterday–all in one sitting–grand way to spend the time waiting on the HVAC guy to work on our air-conditioning! It was a grand puzzle day for me. Got a little stuck, but thoroughly enjoyed them all. Memorial day was so apropos! Thank you! Over and out…..L.

Oh, well, dl. Going for something and actually getting it can be two different things. I’d be surprised if I’ll Have Another pulls this off. Much less competition in this race – by design, maybe(?) – but the Belmont is always the acid test. We will see. I won’t be unhappy, but I will be surprised.
