Visual Description: A new business off to a good footing.
GORFO = FORGO, THIMG = MIGHT, ATOGUE = OUTAGE, LAODRL = DOLLAR — Giving us: FORMIHOTEDOR
Clue/Question: When he started his new plant nursery, everyone . . .
Answer: ROOTED FOR HIM
(I thought that this was actually a fairly tough one! I even toyed around with the possibility of making it this month’s Unclerave’s Wiseguy of the Day contest. However, the early stats indicate that not too many of you are having any trouble with this. I thought I’d be seeing a number of queries for ATOGUE, but it looks like you guys figured out “outage” all on your own. There were no new clue words today, but I thought they were all jumbled well. Even “dollar” caused a brief pause. Furthermore, I thought the answer letter layout would have stumped more of you. I didn’t find anything obvious about it. Did all of you eat your Omega-3 and choline fortified Wheaties this morning, or something??? Maybe it was Jeff’s great cartoon! I don’t know, friends. Be well and do good.) — YUR

Very good jumble today, words and cartoon, excellent!
Love your inspirational comments in all your jumbles postings. We all need to be kinder and gentler with everyone. including ourselves.
Gwen
Thanks, Gwen! Being kinder to ourselves might be harder than being kinder to others. I’ve been told I’m too hard on myself.

Some tough words today. But I thought the answer letter layout could have been better. “for him” (FORMIH…)is right up front, “rooted was well scrambled. Good one though!
You’re right, Dave. The funny thing is, based on the clue/question I knew one of the words had to be HIM. I didn’t notice, initially, that it was there, just backwards! Then I wrote out the remaining letters, completely oblivious to the fact that the first three were F O R. I guess I was focusing on the verb more than anything else!

I had fun solving this one. I got stumped on outage and went to the web to figure it out.
Also like you I had the for him but the rooted stumped me and I knew I could google it.
Oh love your blog YUR, one of my new faves!

Thank you, Kate! And welcome!
