(Maybe this is the detail of all those other seascape Jumbles, where you see the sinking sailboat on the horizon!  This is like one of those Paul Harvey The Rest of the Story segments!  Cool.

None of today’s clue words were new, or terribly difficult, but they were jumbled well.  I thought the answer letter layout was beautifully done!  I can see a bunch of the Jumble fans having some difficulty in getting today’s answer.  It’s not one of your more obvious Jumbles.  I liked it.  That is all.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  This artwork is by a completely different Paul Harvey, and is not relevant to the Jumble or the comments.  It came up.  I liked it.  You guys are stuck with it.  Objections to beautiful women will not be tolerated, here at Uncleraves!   —   YUR

Mets–Yankees rivalry

Mets–Yankees rivalry (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Never elated when someone’s oppressed, never dejected when another one’s blessed.”   —   Alexander Pope

(Old Al would just never understand the Mets/Yankees and Cubs/White Sox fan rivalries.  Whenever the Yankees lose, on the same day that the Mets win, it feels like the Mets won a doubleheader, to most Mets fans.  And, Mets fans don’t feel guilty about this, because they know Yankee fans  generally feel the same way, when the shoe is on the other foot.  Maybe not the best counter-analogy, because oppressed is much harsher than depressed, but society and the media push a lot of Us vs. Them scenarios on us, all the time.  And, far too many of us don’t stop to think about the implications of this kind of thinking.  In the grand scheme of things, the baseball/sports indulgences are tame compared to the actual life and death issues.  Be well, do good, don’t hate.)   —   YUR
