BENT OUT OF SHAPE
(Been having trouble coming up with this answer. Like I told Lesley, I got all the clue words fairly quickly, but the answer letters are leaving me cold! I’ve always been a big boxing fan, but I’m a strugglin’ to git this answer. I was thinking the fourth word has to be UPSET, because the way the pug is talking it seems he was favored to win. However, the single F, and the absence of an R, is making me think that the fourth word might be OFTEN, because the palooka seems to be repeating himself. The other five letter word I was toying with was BOAST, sorta for the same reasons as UPSET. I suppose it’s possible I messed up on one of the clue words, but I think this is a case where I’d do better with a couple of long words, than four shorter words. It’s probably something SO simple and obvious that I’ll end up kicking myself! NEVER MIND! I got it, finally! The two smaller words just sunk in, and you had to kinda think UPSET and his NOSE, both BENT OUT OF SHAPE. Be well and do good, friends!) — YUR

I, too, got upset before getting bent out of shape. Good one!
Ditto!!! But, at this point I was caught up again with the puzzles. I actually felt like I had a brain again this past week, though I got stuck a couple of times, it wasn’t for days! Then, we’ve had heart tests for my mama Monday and I’ve been with her the past few days. All seems to be going well — except for a very leaky valve — find out more steps in the next few weeks — all that to let you know I’ve not forsaken the site, just kinda covered up—and I’m behind again!!!
