(BEAUTY! Nice sports pun! This might have been fairly tough, for those who have little, or no, knowledge of baseball. Today’s Jumble would have made a fine Unclerave Wiseguy of the Day contest. However, I’m trying to keep those to a once a month kind of deal. I know some of you are thinking: Thank God for that! Alright, calm down kids. Let me continue with today’s critique. The clue words were all expertly jumbled. I was able to see “plume” and “excise” right away, but both “giant” and especially “oddest” took a little thought, on my part. The answer letter layout gave absolutely NOTHING away! Kudos! Does anyone even say “Kudos” anymore??? Furthermore, I loved today’s cartoon. Just like a scene from Major League! Have you ever noticed how many great baseball movies there are out there? Probably more than any other sport. However, that might just be my narrow, American slanted take on things. It’s probably safer to say there are more American made – Hollywood – movies about baseball, than any other sport. That’s about it, people. Great way to end the week! As always, be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

PS. Happy 100th Birthday to Fenway Park! It’s nice to see some people still value landmarks and tradition. I was very upset when they tore down a perfectly good Yankee Stadium, for no REAL GOOD reason, other than to create more luxury boxes for rich fat-cats, by building a brand new Yankee Stadium. Greedy idiots! Fenway! Home of “The Splendid Splinter”! What a great American! — YUR
