Visual Description: A scene from the very first season of Survivor?
ZAOOK = KAZOO, PATOD = ADOPT, TLATET TATTLE, LIBSUY = BUSILY — Giving us: KAOAOTTTTBSI
Clue/Question: Even though he didn’t think he’d be good at spearfishing, he . . .
Answer: TOOK A STAB AT IT
(The guy does kind of resemble that Richard Hatch character. Another friend of Jeff Knurek’s??? LOL! Not nearly as easy as yesterday’s, but not a real head-scratcher either. I thought all the clue words were well-jumbled, especially the five letter ones. Who knew that “kazoo” was new to the Jumble clue milieu? Did the crew eschew putting “kazoo” in the clue queue? Was it too taboo, or under review? A simple miscue? Is not this issue part of Hoyt’s purview? Who could argue that “kazoo” is long overdue? In lieu of this ballyhoo I’d like to imbue a slew of true value . . . but I just flew in from Kalamazoo, and it’s time for a brew. Ooh, ooh, ooh! How ’bout you? Nice answer letter layout. Be well and do goo . . . d, friends.) — YUR

Nope. Tom Hanks from Castaway. There’s even a tiny Wilson in the background and a floating FedEx box.
WOW! Unclerave’s a poet & I didn’t know it!
@ Jeff,
Shhhhh! Let’s just pretend you were just joking. Tom Hanks always PLAYS a good guy, and he always SEEMS so amiable on talk shows, but . . . behind his closed *boardroom* doors he can be ruthless. Or, so I’ve heard. (Maybe I have an active imagination?) Talk about a tiny Wilson! I thought it was a rock, or a shell. And, that’s probably THE most nondescript FedEx box you could have drawn. I can understand you not wanting to give them free advertising, but the “box” is so tiny and vague. Overall I LOVE the drawing, bud, but I’ve never seen you go THAT subtle on what amounts to *bonus clues*. Was Hanks really that fat early in the movie? The seared in image I have of him, in that movie, is when he’s emaciated, with the long hair and long beard. I think you were better off letting me believe it was the guy from Survivor! LOL! Allright. I guess that’s enough abuse for one day.
@ Betsy,
Thanks, dear lady. I probably took it a little too far, but I was having fun with it, and I figured What the Heck!

I thought Richard Hatch right away, since one of my friends is trying out for Survivor in Atalantic City next week. He’s a newly retired firefighter, and he could give Richard a run for his money. I’ll let you know if he makes it. I love “Castaway.” Watched it way too many times. Anyway, the Jumble was pretty easy, and YUR’s rhymes had a certain Dr. Seuss feel about them. Not bad! 🙂
