What is right is often forgotten by what is convenient.”   —   Bodie Thoene

(Another kind of sneaky/tough one to decode!  None of the words in the quotation end in E, no single letter words, and no THE, ARE, or ONE, or THAT, EVER, NEVER or ALWAYS.  I even had WHAT IS RIGHT IS and the other WHAT for a while, before coming up with the rest.  The author’s name was no help at all, for me.  Good challenge!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Jumble Spoiler(?) – 04/12/12

Visual Description:  Jeff Knurek, murdering The Beach Boys.

TNECA  =  ENACT,  OSCUT  =  SCOUT,  RIPGNS  =  SPRING,  NAITAT  =  ATTAIN   —   Giving us:  ENASCUSRGATN

Clue/Question:  When the Jumble artist went for a drive, he did this.

Answer:  ????  ???  ?????  SANG CAR TUNES  (Today’s Unclerave Wiseguy of the Day winner is Frank Witzel, with his crack about the groan not coming from the ’62 T-bird!  Nice going, Frank!  Thanks to everyone who played along!)   —   YUR

(Another 12 letter answer?  A silly pun??  And, an expertly crafted answer letter layout???  What can all that mean?  It means that it’s time for another installment of the Unclerave Wiseguy of the Day Contest!  YAY!!!  Who said Boo?  Why, I oughta . . . Okay, guys.  Same *rules* as last time.  The first one with the correct answer is not necessarily the winner.  You have to have the correct answer AND some kind of relevant wisecrack.  It can be aimed at the Jumble itself, either one/both of the creators – Jeff Knurek and David L. Hoyt – or at yours truly.  Try to stay away from profanity, please.

For the record, none of the clue words were new, today.  However, they were all nicely jumbled.  I know it’s a little late in the day for a contest, but I kinda got into a cleaning jag.  Now my hands smell like Tilexbleach – and I’m feeling a little light-headed.  Time to hit the showers, I guess.  Be well, do good and make sure you’re in a well-ventilated area, when using funky household cleaning products!)   —   YUR

PS.  When I was a kid, my Gramma owned a ’62 Thunderbird!  It was either this color, or a little lighter shade.  Cool car!  It was kinda like Ford’s Mustang . . . before they came out with the Mustang.   —   YUR
