The bicycle, the bicycle surely, should always be the vehicle of novelists and poets.”   —   Christopher Morley

(Man!  And people say I’m strange!  Just kidding.  Very poetic quote.  And, a bit of a bitch to decode!  Of course, I made it a little more difficult than it really had to be.  I was fairly certain that the first word had to be either THE or ONE, but I was reluctant to take the plunge.  However, even after penciling in the E – yes, I said penciling – I had a hard time getting any traction.  I had strong suspicions about SHOULD, but figuring out the first name was Christopher became the big key.  Good fun!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Clue/Question:  When he asked for a custom-made tuxedo, the tailor said this. (No . . .!  Don’t you guys have editors and proof-readers?)

Answer:  SUIT YOURSELF

(Wow, a 12 letter Jumble answer, on a weekday!  For me, the biggest clue to today’s answer was the tailor saying: “Oookay?!”, conveying both incredulity and Hey, it’s your money, fool!  Individuality CAN be a wonderful thing, but some people just need to be slapped silly!  I can’t imagine the average Afghani relating to the pompous, privileged Pashtun of the Popalzai tribe.  Sure, he’s “our guy” . . . sort of . . . for now.  But, really?!?!  Oh, don’t get me started!

I really liked the jumbling of the clue words, today!  I didn’t think any of them were too obvious.  Even the five-letter words took a few looks.  It looks like ralis95 needs to fire up the Jumble clue word database, as “affect” is a not a current entry.  The answer letter layout was magnifiqué!  No giveaway, whatsoever!  The cartoon was great, too.  I wonder if Mr. Puffy-shirt is another friend/acquaintance of Jeff Knurek’s?  Could be!  I’m betting that it’s not his boss, though!  That’s about it, guys and gals.  Boy, today’s cryptoquote sure was a toughie.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  There’s an even better picture, but it seems to be forever “Almost there!”.  It’s like someone knows what I’m looking for . . . and doesn’t want me to have it!      YUR  😉
