(This might have been a good candidate for a Wiseguy of the Day contest, but maybe not.  The expression is pretty darn common, so, in the context of a basketball game, I don’t think too many of you strained yer brains too hard getting this one.  And, I’m too darned tired to pull that nonsense today, anyway.  Besides, the answer letter layout wasn’t as tough as it could have been.  I think switching “tattoo” and “shifty” might have made it a little more difficult.  However, over all it was still a good Jumble.  We were introduce to 3 new clue words, today!  Per the ralis95 clue word database, we had not seen “giddy”, “tattoo” or “shifty” until today!  I had difficulty in getting “tattoo”, but after I figured it out I thought I’d seen it before here, but I guess I was wrong.  I had less trouble in getting “giddy” and “shifty”, but they did ring as new to me.  So, I guess I’m not completely gone!  Hey!  Does anybody remember a cool cat named Shifty Henry?  The name might not resonate with some of you youngins, but most of you 50, and above, should know the name.

UK or KU?  Which blue will do for you?  Still torn, here.  Kentucky came so close last year, and they’ve had such a dominant year this year.  But, the Jayhawks seem to be peaking at just the right time.  The two most storied programs in all of college basketball square off tonight in a Battle Royale, at the Louisiana Superdome, in New Orleans!  The Wildcats are favored by 6.5 points, but I would take Kansas with the points.  They could very well pull off the upset.  I’d also be tempted to take the under for this game.  If I were a gambling man, that is. 139 is a lot of points, for two teams that can play defense.  With my luck, if I did bet, either way on the under/over, the game would end up 70 – 69!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
