Jumble Spoiler – 03/20/12

Visual Description:  Jeff Knurek, displaying his more . . . sensitive side.

THCUH  =  HUTCH,  DEAAG  =  ADAGE,  ENOCAB  =  BEACON,  WRROOS  =  SORROW   —   Giving us:  THDABEARW

Clue/Question:  After a long day of making cartoons (poor baby!), the Jumble artist did this.

Answer:  DREW A BATH

(Haven’t we had a DREW or a DRAW something answer to the Jumble, some time in the last year???  Seems very familiar to me.  I wasn’t aware that Jeff had a Pete Townsend side to him.  Not that there’s anything wrong with that!  A bubble bath, with scented candles and a nice glass of Merlot can be a very manly thing . . . I suppose.  Kind of reminds me of the joke about the lady ranch owner, and her hired ranch hand.  I won’t tell the whole joke here.  I don’t want to spoil the guys’ plans for a cross-dressing Jumble, that may, or may not, be in the works!

I think the bottom line here is that the Jumble worked.  The clue words were all well jumbled.  Only “hutch” seems to be new to the ralis95 clue word database.  The answer letter layout didn’t provide any hints, and we got a good little play on words  Plus, I got to kneedle Knurek!  Bazinga!

For all you Basketball fans out there, I hope you realize that this is the first time in NCAA Tournament history that four teams from the same state – Ohio – have made it to the Sweet Sixteen.  Ohio State, a 2 seed and Cincinnati, a 6 seed, were projected to be here.  However Xavier, a 10 seed, is more of a middling dark horse, and the University of Ohio, a 13 seed, is the big surprise of this year’s tournament.  The Bobcats are the Cinderella story, with a fighter’s chance to go even further, if they play smart against a wounded North Carolina.  The Xavier Musketeers have a tough game ahead against Baylor, but they are no strangers to the Sweet Sixteen, so don’t count them out, by any means.  The Bearcats face the mighty Buckeyes, in what’s shaping up as the battle for Ohio.  Go Bearcats!  Hey, I love underdogs, and I don’t care for Ohio State.  Very soon, I will actually tune in to one of these games.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
