Visual Description: Symphonic music reaching new elevations.
GLEFUN = ENGULF, NNOEAY = ANYONE, DUSEND = SUDDEN, VELIYT = LEVITY, OTARUH = AUTHOR, RITHME = HERMIT — Giving us: NGNEDDEIHOHET
Clue/Question: The concert on the mountain . . .
Answer: ENDED ON A HIGH NOTE
(Where to begin? All the clue words were expertly jumbled, and each had a certain level of difficulty, perhaps with the exception of “levity”. It’s a great word, but I could smell that the V would be in the middle, and there’s always a high probability that the Y will come at the end of most jumbled words with Y in them. I thought we’d seen “engulf” before, but was surprised that we’ve seen it with this very jumbling. I really liked the jumbling of “sudden”, and as it turns out it is new to the ralis95 clue word database. “Author” has given me trouble in the past, and this jumbling of it tripped me up for a minute, or so. Even “hermit” was a little challenging. The answer letter layout was a work of art. None of the answer words jump out at you. If you couldn’t figure out the answer from the cartoon, and the little bit of character verbiage, you would really have to work hard at the answer letters to get the answer. And, of course the “ON A” was a big help, as well. Jeff’s cartoon gives you a good sense of the soaring heights, too. I’d call this a Classic Sunday Jumble! Be well, do good . . . and look up, my friends.) — YUR
