FWULA = AWFUL, SKNUT = STUNK, CADEEF = DEFACE, SEMRUE = RESUME — Giving us: WNKDAEE
Clue/Question: Getting the flu on a Friday makes for this.
Answer: A “WEAK–END“
(Not bad. The answer was pretty simple, but a couple of the clue words are new, in “stunk” and “resume”. I didn’t quite have to back into “resume”, but it was close. All the clue words AND the answer letter layout were jumbled well. I guess if this is a stomach flu then this answer might have a double meaning, huh?!?! Do good and be well, friends. ) — YUR

Hmmmmm. FLUE? or FLU? Surely you had an arthritic moment and hit an additional key. Anyway, two new words: STUNK and RESUME, both of which were well scrambled – in fact, it took me awhile to back into RESUME because I got hung up thinking it looked like “measure,” but without the “a” I knew that wasn’t right. Oh well, hope you’re feeling well and don’t have a weak-end.

Thanks! My dad and I have contests to see who can get the puzzle solved first. Poor thing…he hasn’t a clue about the Internet (or that his 40 year old daughter is a big ole cheater lol 🙂

I think it was better with your original FLUE, which is, afterall, “a duct for smoke and waste gases.” And now, with your double entendre, it’s even more appropriate! Ha! But enough of this banter – I’ve got to get back to building my new website.

I no longer do the Jumble on paper, except for Sunday! I make myself think faster on-line. I did stumble quite a bit today on DEFACE and RESUME. Actually, I did back into DEFACE. Hmmmmm….both start with prefixes “de” and “re.” I think I’ve had this problem before! Have a great weekend, everybody!
