Visual Description: Too much enthusiasm at the diner.
GNAET = AGENT, RTDIH = THIRD, NISGRP = SPRING, MIOENC = INCOME — Giving us: GETDIGCE
Clue/Question: The customer got this after seeing the new omelette on the menu.
Answer: “EGGCITED“
(Would this be considered a pun, or more of a sniglet? I’ve always been a very fussy eater. I pretty much love everything in most omelettes, but I don’t like them all together. My kids like those KFC mash potato bowls, but I won’t eat them either. I likes my foods separate, but equal! But, I almost always order some kind of eggs when I go to a diner. It doesn’t matter what time of day it is, I love diner eggs . . . and sausage and/or bacon . . . and home fries. I highly recommend Hogan’s Diner, in Orangeburg, NY. Great food, reasonable prices, friendly service. It just doesn’t look like your traditional diner, as it’s not a stand alone building, but a store front in a shopping plaza/strip mall. Anyway . . . back to the Jumble. Two new words, in “third” and “spring”. And, both were a little surprising. I also thought that “income” was jumbled extremely well. The answer letter layout didn’t give anything away, and you got your usual, top-notch cartoon! Very nice, for a snowy Saturday. I had to get this from the online version of my newspaper, as my carrier had trouble navigating the roads. It might be here by now, but I couldn’t wait. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
