Clue/Question: The dog was content to sleep through all the festivities because he wasn’t a . . .
Answer: PARTY ANIMAL
(It looks like Flounder, Otter – looks a little like Hoover too, but the outfit is more Otter, Bluto and Otis Day gettin’ down at the Toga Party, in Animal House! Very funny movie. It’s hard to believe that it came out nearly 34 years ago! Boy, does that make me feel old. I can still remember who I saw it with, though. I wonder how ol’ Deb is doing? Er . . . back to the Jumble. ralis95 has three words to add to the database. The first is “crimp” – great word! The second is “simply”, and the third is *simple*. After I saw that “simply” wasn’t there I decided to check for *simple*, and was surprised not to find it. So, might as well add both to the database, along with “crimp”, of course. Everything was jumbled well, and the answer letter layout was excellent! I hope all of you enjoyed today’s Jumble as much as I did. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

SIMPLE will be added to the database when it is actually used in a puzzle. DOOMY was added, even though it wasn’t used, because it’s a variation on the used word MOODY – indicating to everyone that the jumbled letters DMOOY shouldn’t be used again. (Thanks to you, we all know now that DOOMY is an actual word.)

Sound logic, bro! Besides . . . your database, your call. Just don’t be too surprised if Hoyt kinda picks up on this, in the very near future. I’m still NOT a fan of DOOMY, but Merriam-Webster’s has seen fit to include it . . . at least on it’s online version. But, the thanks should really go to Patrick. He pointed it out to me. I just verified . . . that he isn’t some kind of flake!

Wishing you and yours a happy, healthy and prosperous 2012, Uncle!
“Animal House” is one of my all time favorite movies! As an English major and teacher, it was sometimes embarrassing to admit this, but I LOVE it! We even had a toga party many years ago that was more insane than the movie! Ahhhhhh…..I miss John! Anyway, great puzzle!
@ Marc,

@ Lesley,
Belushi was a comic ROCK STAR! What a shame. What a waste.
