OMYOD  =  MOODY,  STIYP  =  TIPSY,  FBLAEF  =  BAFFLE,  CYAREM  =  CREAMY   —   Giving us:  OODTSFFREM

Clue/Question:  After getting into an argument with the news anchor the weatherman . . .

Answer: STORMED OFF

(The new year – weekday – jumble has blessed us with three new words!  It looks like ralis95 will be adding “moody”, “tipsy” and “creamy” to the database.  I actually stumbled on “tipsy”, having first written down pitys.  But, after seeing that there was no logical use for the PY that it generated, I came back and realized the error.  All the clue words were well-jumbled, and the answer letter layout gave up nothing.  Here in the Northeast US we’re expecting more seasonal temperatures for the next 3 days, or so.  I’m not sure where Jeff is taking us with the Good Morning Fishers sign.  Anyone care to venture a guess?  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

That would be Fishers Indiana. Where it’s very cold and windy today 😉

    @ JD,

I’d never heard of “doomy” before (and it sounds made up), but Merriam-Webster acknowledges it as legit! Yeah. That extra M (and missing D) would ‘ve made solving it impossible.

    @ Jeff,

What? Was this some kind of send up to your home town, or something? It looks like it’s a suburb of Indianapolis, and very unlikely to have it’s own television station, or show. Who was this for, kid?

    YUR:

I figured it as MOODY, and did not even think of DOOMY; but now, after your research, we’ll have to enter them both in the database as duplicates – and that means you probably won’t see that jumbled combination of letters again.

    Happy New Year!

Perfect Jumble for this cold weather which I do not like anymore! I thought it was STORMED OUT, so backing into the last 2 words confused me. I am getting quite lazy lately by trying to back into everything. Well, hopefully not my neighbor’s car.
