Visual Description: His honor, about to take the seat of justice.
SLOIP = SPOIL, SARHB = BRASH, TRUETB = BUTTER, NTRATY = TYRANT — Giving us: OIRUTTYT
Clue/Question: After they installed his new courtroom chair, the judge wanted to . . .
Answer: TRY IT OUT
(Not a bad little pun! I guess that means he’s going to give it a trial run. I was a little surprised to see that both “spoil” and “brash” were new to the database. Everything was well-jumbled today. I liked the jumbling of “tyrant”. Terrible kind of person, but a great word! Good answer letter layout, but short word answers are usually pretty easy to get. The usual descriptive cartoon! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
PS. Apparently, the name – or title, I guess – Judge is very popular with comic book characters! Zemanta brought up a wide array of guys named Judge. — YUR

HELP! I don’t think I’ve ever been so totally stumped by a cryptoqoute as by the one today. There are just few if any real clues … nothing that points to a T or an E or anything like that. Very difficult. Or maybe I’m just having a bad day. Looking forward to the solution.
This one did take a while to get started, Harry! After trying the name Thomas, for the author, I realized the YV wouldn’t work as TH in YVIYDL. That’s when I saw it was more likely to be ALBERT or ALFRED, and it became clear the YVIYDL was going to be ALWAYS. I suspected the GFC was THE, but there were no other words that would have a TH in it. I think that was part of what made it difficult.

Thanks, Unk! I’ll try again. I too was trying “Thomas” for the name but that didn’t seem to work … was trying “If you” for the first two words and “In the” for the first two words. Nothing seemed to work. I’ll give it another shot. Good thing I’m on vacation and don’t have to work today or I would not have the luxury of messing with this for so long! Appreciate the assistance.
The only clue word that I got quickly was BUTTER! I guess I am rusty after Christmas celebrations and some relatives and too many cookies. It feels good to be challenged.
