“Forget the past – the future will give you plenty to worry about.” — George Allen, Sr.
(I don’t think most people worry about the past, per sé. I think many may regret certain things in their past. And, they might worry about the past coming back to haunt them, but that is essentially worrying about the future anyway. I guess George’s message is just to not dwell on the past. What’s done is done, and you can’t do anything to change it. Might as well be forward looking. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

I used to worry and dwell about things I couldn’t change or had no control over until I realized that it was counterproductive and basically…a waste of precious time, which we really have so little of. I have regrets of course (doesn’t anyone?), but I think it’s more reasonable to put it at the back of your mind and maybe forget about it or just learn from it so that regrets don’t repeat in the future.
Thank you for the comforting message!!
I agree, Mina! I don’t do the Cryptoquote puzzle, but I read the messages almost every day. FORWARD is the mantra I used after having gone through a very sad time in my life 5 years ago. It really is no use worrying over things of the past. It is best to learn from them, and move on.
