Visual Description: Honest and reassuring skydiving instructor with a new student.
Clue/Question: She liked her parachute instructor because he was this.
Answer: DOWN TO EARTH
(Very interesting. I thought the answer was actually pretty easy. One of the goals of jumping out of a plane is to get down to earth . . . in one piece. But, that’s not the reason people take up skydiving. People want to know what it’s like to fly! Of course, there’s no actual flying involved in skydiving. You’re falling . . . from a great height. It’s a “controlled” fall, but that’s the second phase of it. Initially, you’re in a free fall. And, in a free fall you’re dropping at a velocity of about 120 miles per hour! It’s quite a bit more chilly than a cool breeze hitting you, and the g-force does amusing things to your face. Don’t let the instructor fool you into shouting, or opening your mouth, during free fall. All the moisture in your mouth and throat evaporate in an instant! When the chute opens everything settles down and you get the controlled float. The ground still comes up pretty quickly though. Any landing you can walk away from – without a limp – is a good one. I may do it again some day.
All the clue words were challenging, for me, today! The only one I got right off the bat was “trend”. I struggled with the other three, and even had to back into “ethic”! I usually don’t think of the word in its single form. I think “onward” was hard because it starts with a vowel. Same with “author”, which I always seem to have a hard time getting! The jumbling of the clue words and the answer letter layout were, once again, top notch! Nice job all around, guys. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

I had to read this twice to realize what the heart of the post’s content was about. It was interesting and a clever little dose of brain food.
It did remind me however of how much I wanted to parachute from a plane in my life.
The description of what G forces do to the face, makes me realize I’d never want it photographed !! The closest I came was parasailing in Mexico. That was a blast after the first few minutes of my legs feeling limp as I soared over a small rock formations rising out of the ocean. I thought “please don’t let the motor on the boat fail me now.” Still I’d do it again. Take care and hope for a safe landing wherever that is.

Not just photographed, but also videoed! I watched it . . . once. That was enough. It DID inspire me to lose some weight though. That’s a good coming from a bad . . . that initially came from a good! Ahh, the circle of life!
