Clue/Question: When he was a boy, the future football star measured his success . . .
Answer: IN YARDS
(Not bad! Good jumbling all around. Two new words today. “Prance” might have been expected, but I was surprised that “press” wasn’t in the ralis95 database! It’s such a basic kind of word. Nice answer letter layout. The cartoon took me back to the early ’70s, when I used to play all sorts of sports, for the sheer joy of it. Too few kids play sports, too infrequently, these days. Video games and social media take up too much of their time, and we’re seeing the results in a sharp increase in childhood obesity. So not good! We gotta do more to get these kids moving! Many of their lives depend on it. Be well, do good . . . and play hard.) — YUR
PS. Don’t know why, but the Zemanta feature did not come up. This is why you’re not getting any pictures and related articles. Maybe WordPress did not renew their contract with them. I don’t know. They are not good at all about communicating changes they make to this site. With a little luck maybe this is just a temporary situation. — YUR
YAHOO! We used to say that word when referring to some idiot who who do things like park to close to you so you can’t get in your car, leave the lid off the garbage so all the raccoons in the neighborhood would spread garabage, or drink too much and ruin a party. I looked it up and found out that it has other cool meanings! Great cartoon today and, yes, many kids don’t just “play” enough these days. There’s too much “organized play” for them by adults! Do kids today even know how to begin a “start-up” game of kickball on their own? What about dodge ball? Oh, yea, that was banned!
