Visual Description: Captain “Sully” Sullenberg demanding his damn chicken!
DOPUR = PROUD, EADGA = ADAGE, TINNOO = NOTION, NRAERB = BARREN — Giving us: RDDEOTIRE
Clue/Question: When the General was in the mood for a chicken dinner, he did this.
Answer: ORDERED IT
(The General would have been better off ordering two 6 piece, at $5.99, than the 12 piece, at $12.99! Coulda saved a buck! Maybe he gets an additional side with the bigger order. Hmm. And more biscuits! LOVE the biscuits! The General does look somewhat like our hero Captain, doesn’t he? I thought we had some really great clue words, today. And, everything was well jumbled. I had a little trouble getting “notion”. I didn’t back into it, or anything, but I did start to write out combinations. One actually. NOONIT It wasn’t even close, but sometimes all you need is to see the letters in a different order, to get the ball rolling. I think I, mentally, tried NOT-I-ON before realizing it wasn’t going to be a hard T. That made it a little tricky, and more of a challenge. The answer itself was pretty obvious, but the answer letter layout didn’t give it away. I’m sure ralis95 will let us know if any of the clue words were new. That’s about it. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

PS. I will be traveling to meet the guys (Jeff Knurek & David L. Hoyt) at Will Shortz’s Wonderful World of Words, being held at the Mohunk Hotel, outside of New Paltz, NY this Saturday. If you’re in the neighborhood you should drop by to check it out! Here’s the link to the event: http://www.mohonk.com/theme_programs/view_themeprograms_details.cfm?intEventId=155
