Visual Description: Channel 7 getting even for getting scooped, by the overly eager Channel 66.
EVPDA = PAVED, SEYZT = ZESTY, ROIDTR = TORRID, OTBMTO = BOTTOM — Giving us: PEDETRRITO
Clue/Question: When they spotted the competing news crew breaking the law, they did this.
Answer: REPORTED IT
(. . . to both their viewers and to the proper authorities! Can’t stand people who park in handicap spaces when they’re perfectly able-bodied! Lazy SOBs! Very often these UHF stations – I know I’m dating myself – are FOX affiliates. Figures! LOL-JK! Lots of fun, today. All around great jumbling, and a tough answer letter layout. Tough is good! Right, guys?!! Easy doesn’t work the brain cells. With mental exercises the motto is: No strain, No gain! I really liked seeing the clue word “torrid”. It’s a great romance novel/soap opera word. Very popular with the ladies. Who you callin’ a chauvinist??? That’s enough for today. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Ooooo la la! Zee wordz for today are so HOT! ZESTY and TORRID are spicey words, I’d say! As for the handicapped spots, when my late husband was disabled and in a wheel chair, I confronted people on a weekly basis about parking illegally in those reserved spots. Some moved, but some obnoxious people, walked away ignoring me. It made me so stressed out having to park far away at places, especially in the winter!
Probably THE best reasons for cell phones that I can think of!

Not all people using handicapped spaces “appear” to have a disability. Keep that in mind before you give them dirty looks or approach them.
Know where you’re coming from, Ange. But, I’m talking about – and I think Lesley, too – are those people WITHOUT mirror tags, or special license plates, parking in handicap spaces. The lazy asses, and people who don’t care if they inconvenience a truly handicapped person.
I try not to make judgments about seemingly healthy people with valid tags and plates.
The worst I do is use the handicapped bathroom stalls. If it’s the only one available (or clean) I have no qualms whatsoever. Having to go . . . really bad is the great equalizer.
