Visual Description:  Astronauts, somewhere between the Earth and the Sun.

YTPME  =  EMPTY,  VRRIE  =  RIVER,  EMATRP  =  TAMPER,  DLECAP  =  PLACED   —   Giving us:  TVRTELE

Clue/Question:  Regardless of where they traveled, this was always the center of gravity.

Answer:  THE LETTER V

(Not bad!  A little tricky, but not too.  We’ve seen ones like this before.  I didn’t have any trouble with any of the clue words, and three of the four were well jumbled.  Only “empty” was a dead giveaway, to those of us who can read backwards.   Nice job on the answer letter layout.  I like the classic brush/crew cut on the one astronaut.  Very Gus Grissom/Deke Slayton!  It’s hard to believe, but there are only two, of the original Mercury Seven, astronauts still with us today.  During the ’60s, these guys were like super hero rock stars.  They constantly risked their lives, and what they were part of is largely responsible for today’s modern technological wonders, that so many of us of take for granted.  We owe them a debt of gratitude.  Be well and do good, my friends.)   —   YUR

I just thought I’d say hi and check in to see how things are going here in Uncle Rave Land. Looks like all is well and that you’ve been happy with our work lately, which of couse makes us happy. As you spotted, I accidently jumbled EMPTY as YTPME. Oops. I make all these by hand and spend a lot of time swapping thinigs around until I like the way it looks. I didn’t even notice it was the backwards spelling. That will happen from time to time since every aspect of the puzzle is hand made and not computer generated. Have a good puzzle-solving day!

I wouldn’t sweat it, Cuz! My Stats page indicates there are plenty out there – who must not readily be able to read backwards – who looked up “YTPME”.
