Visual Description: The perils of flying economy/coach.
VOSEH = SHOVE, EKOLY = YOKEL, LSITNP = SPLINT, NEWRIN = WINNER — Giving us: SOOPTNN
Clue/Question: When babies on his flight began to cry, he feared the crying would be . . .
Answer: NONSTOP
(Very good! If we’ve had “shove” before it hasn’t been for quite a while. And, “yokel” is in the same category as “oomph”; legitimate, but still out there. Both “splint” and “winner” were well-scrambled, but they weren’t too difficult for me to get. This looks like it could be our friend, Mr. Hoyt, but I wouldn’t swear to it. Regardless, I’m sure that many of us can relate to this situation.
On a separate note, I may have outdone myself on Wheel of Fortune solves, last night. Much bigger than my MODEL-T-FORD solve, from nearly 30 years ago, and maybe even bigger than that woman who solved I’VE GOT A GOOD FEELING ABOUT THIS, with just the apostrophe and the three Ts. The only problem is only my wife and I witnessed/experienced it. No prize money, no fame, just my personal satisfaction of getting it . . . and telling you all about it. Here’s how it went. The Category was Song Title, and like the woman’s solve it was 7 words long. But, unlike that woman, I didn’t have the benefit of an apostrophe, and I solved it with . . . only one letter, the letter R. It was in the middle of the second word, which was only 3 letters long. All of the first 3 words were 3 letters. The 4th word was long, 8 letters. Then it was 2 letters, 3 letters and 4 letters, for the remaining three words. I shouted out: YOU ARE THE SUNSHINE OF MY LIFE! My wife looked at me, half knowing I was probably right, and half in a kind of disbelief. Maybe a little disgust, because she – rightly – thinks: how can he be so seemingly brilliant, and not be able to find a job?! Oh, well. As it played out, I was right. No fame, no fortune, just a bunch of words on a vanity blog. I’m a legend in my own mind, folks. Such is my life. Be well and do good, my friends.) — YUR

Puzzle was easy because solutions have been easy lately. Trouble is that I have been lazily backing into most clue words. Oh, well! Congrats on your Wheel of Fortune success. I never get very close to getting the answers on that show! My mind wanders! Why don’t you try out for the show, YUR?
I did. And, I did well. Maybe too well. I made it through all the rounds of testing, had the interview with a “producer”, and thought I was a shoo-in. But, I got some kind of rejection letter, and my subsequent attempts at later auditions have gotten me nowhere.
Dey’s ascared o’ me, dat’s what dey is!
