(Sorry about the protracted delay, but I did beat the buzzer by a couple days!  It was done Sunday AM, but I was busy scraping and painting, and then I ran into router problems.  —  You were right, Max.  But,  I couldn’t post your comment, with the answer.  It’s against my policy.  —  Great concept!  Good clue words, all nicely jumbled.  Great answer letter layout.  And, a great cartoon, with our two favorite puzzlers, Jeff Knurek and David L.   1. So I was zipping along with the first 3 clue words, but COZIER got me stuck because of the “K” sound for the “C,” and FEDORA got me again! We’ve had this word, I think, and I had trouble before with it. I love when the guys put themselves in the puzzle! Good job!
