Visual Description: A homeowner tending to destructive bug issues in her yard.
BHOYB = HOBBY, GJEDU = JUDGE, BDRIFO = FORBID, NIRCIO = IRONIC — Giving us: BYUGBR
Clue/Question: How she felt after spraying the lawn for insects.
Answer: GRUBBY
(Not terribly tough, but it meets all the criteria for a good Jumble. All the clue words were well scrambled. Had to think some to get “ironic”. Isn’t it? The answer letter layout was good. An understandable double meaning answer word. And, a cartoon that brings it all together. I’m not expecting anywhere’s near a record number of queries, because I’m guessing that most of you were able to get this on your own. Even if some of you had to back in to “ironic”! Be well, friends. Fight greed.) — YUR
PS. Zemanta gave me a lot of really great photos of lawn grubs. But, I decided to spare you guys that visual. Not exactly one of natures more attractive creatures. Unless you’re a starling, or something. — YUR

Thank you for your insight on the Jumble for NIRCIO. Having figured the others and the answer to the riddle based on the letters from those responses, I still could not get past knowing only the second letter. I find it IRONIC that I typically campaign against those who identify themselves with irony (SHERTSIP), yet still at a loss for the word.
Thanks for keeping me sane.

Funny, R.K.! My daughter loves to refer to her friends who insist upon partying only in Manhattan as “hipsters”. I think it’s become her new favorite word!

I tried and tried until about 10:00 PM to get IRONIC, and ironically I think we’ve had this word before! I told hubby not to look or give any hints, but of course he did and kept talking about things being PLATONIC. Ugh! He gave away the ending of the word! Anyway, he also got GRUBBY and shouted that out. Sometimes we play together, and sometimes I don’t want hints! I liked the double meaning of GRUBBY! YUR, I’m glad you did not post pics of grubs. I learned about those nasty buggers when my lawn was shredded by a skunk back in 1996!
