Visual Description: Dispute about a display feature.
OSPYU = SOUPY, NODUR = ROUND, GLATEN = TANGLE, DNIALS = ISLAND — Giving us: SOUROTEILN
Clue/Question: The disagreement about the computer monitors was nowhere near this.
Answer: RESOLUTION
(I like the answers that are made up of a single, long word. Especially, when the answer letters are well-scrambled! It’s more of a challenge, for me, than a phrase with three or four short words. All the clue words were scrambled nicely, too, with “island” being the most challenging for me. The cartoon had the subtle “dpi” bonus clue. I did see it, prior to reading the clue/question, so perhaps it did affect my thought process some. But, I think those of you with the reduced print were able to figure out the answer without it anyway. My bigger complaint these days is not with – the screen resolution of – the monitors themselves, but with the font size and color of a lot of the online content. Too often I have to struggle to read miniscule font in a washed out gray. Can’t they just stick with black? And, how about a minimum “10” font size? When you go below that I really have to squint, or “Zoom In”, in order to read the story/news. They’re not exactly saving ink, so what is up with all this faded micro-print??? Eye strain ain’t much fun, website dudes! Give us a break! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

ROUND and ROUND I went with a simple 5 letter word! Ugh! I totally cheated on the solution because my brain has been doing just too much thinking lately! As for the RESOLUTION issue, I agree, YUR! My eyes cannot deal with a dark background and light color print. OUCH! I liked the sign in the back of the cartoon today: GOOD BUY, but I kept thinking GOOD BYE to the bad deal! Ha! Challenging puzzle for me today, but a good job by the guys!
Hope all is well in your world, Uncle Rave.
@ Lesley,
Re: Good job by the guys! — As always.
@ Marc,
Things have been better, brother. But, we’re hanging in there, regardless.
