(Very cute.  I don’t think that most people are necessarily averse to being “the hero”.  I think it’s more a matter of the feeling like you’re watching a scene from a movie, or television, or something not quite real, when something requiring a hero unfolds.  You’re kind of in a state of disbelief and puzzlement.  The one who snaps out of it first is the one who ultimately takes the necessary action that later gets labeled as heroism.  Be well and do good, friends.  Peace.)   —   YUR

(I really enjoyed “deputy” and “entice”.  None of the clue words were too hard to get, but they were all well-scrambled.  Also, the answer letter layout gave nothing away.  The cartoon has a European feel to it, and our spy is wearing the classic trench coat.  Of course, she is picking the lock on the door, but besides that there is no unnecessary “bonus clue”, which makes yer uncle very happy.  Enjoy your Sunday, folks.  Be well and do good.)   —   YUR
