CIGNL = CLING, TIAAW = AWAIT, EDYMAR = DREAMY, EFCELE = FLEECE — Giving us: LINWTDRALEE
Clue/Question: He knew so much about model railroads because he’d been this.
Answer: WELL–TRAINED
(Pretty easy clue words this morning. I only had to think a little to get “dreamy”. But, they were all well-scrambled. Also, a great job on the answer letter layout. And, the cartoon was . . . swell. Even with all the high tech gadgetry of today, I think there is still a lot of attraction with model trains and kids! They’re a sensory delight. The sight, the sounds, sometimes even the smells. And, if you’re lucky, the feel of the cars and especially the locomotives. Setting up and maintaining a set takes a lot of time, patience and dedication. And, it’s certainly not a cheap hobby. At least not anymore. I don’t have any of the necessary traits for the hobby, but I love to watch a good set-up. Very cool, guys. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Believe it or not, I had no problem with AWAIT! DREAMY came pretty easily also, and I like that word because it is, well, calming! I have a train set in my attic which I usually put around the Christmas tree. It’s about 20 years old only and my late husband’s! My late husband’s father threw out all his Lionel trains in 1968 when he was serving in the Army! Very sad! He came home from the service, and his dad had moved, and the trains were gone!:(
