Clue/Question: Paul didn’t want to put off finishing this until tomorrow.
Answer: YESTERDAY
(I’m really glad Jeff gave John hairy legs! Otherwise, I might’ve thought that was Paul’s Mum, don’t ya know! Just kidding. Great cartoon! Clue words were pretty easy, but everything was well scrambled, and the answer letter layout gave nothing away. I think, by now, most people have heard the story of how the working title of Yesterday was originally Scrambled Eggs. Obviously, prior to any serious lyrics! Not sure if this was actually Paul’s original inspiration for it, or just Jeff’s vivid imagination. It looks like a whole slew of you had trouble getting Saturday’s, and a pretty good number for Sunday’s as well! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Easy today! Busted it out in less than 5 minutes! I did not know that scrambled eggs story about the song YESTERDAY! Need to look up that one!

I am constantly amazed and impressed with your ability to solve the answer to the Jumble. The individual words consistently come quite easily to the writer in me, but solutions, such as YESTERDAY, seem elusive at times. This was one of those times.
Best,
ralis
You’re too kind, ralis, old pal! I think in instances such as this it just shows that I’m a little closer, generationally, to Jeff and David than some of you. But, I do possess a remarkable amount of trivial, and largely useless, information. That’s why I’d be a natural on Jeopardy, or Millionaire.
Thanks again, bud!
