Answer: AVERAGED OUT
(The clue words were well scrambled, yet fairly easy. The answer letter layout was great. And, I thought this was a fairly challenging puzzle. I had figured the first word would end in ED, and then I decided the second word had to be OUT. From there I was able to solve the rest. Very good, guys. Very timely. Do you guys also give out financial advice?
I have to apologize for today’s delay. I did this by my usual time in the AM, but I was dealing with setting up a doctors appointment. Don’t worry, it’s just a bad case of poison ivy. And I was dealing with an upsetting form of betrayal, that took up far too much of my time. The particulars are not all that important, or interesting, so I will spare you all the details. Sorry, guys. I’ll try to be more timely tomorrow. Be well and do good.) — YUR
First the puzzle…quite challenging today! I could not get VIOLET for hours and many tries. It’s one of my favoirte words, and I always wanted two rabbits which I would name VIOLET and ATHENA. Husband got it in 5 seconds, so I was then able to solve the puzzle. I thought all along it was LEVELED OUT, but there were too many blocks to fill. Nice job on challenging us in challenging times, guys! Now for the puzzle delay…I knew something was wrong when you did not post, YUR! Ironically, we had a similarly distressing day because of an e-mail from someone my husband used to know who wrote hurtful and untrue things along with much vitriolic language. (Did I spell vitriolic properly?) This person even attacked me, and I never even knew this person. Distraught and upset we decided to go to dinner at a cozy tavern and eat comfort food…potato skins, mozzarella sticks, and pasta. I am sorry about your experience, and I hope you resolved it. I just don’t understand how people can be so mean.
Lesley,
Thanks, kid! You and your husband’s problem sounds much worse than mine. Especially, in hindsight. But ironically, mine involved email as well. The tavern comfort food sounds like fun, but I need to drop about 20 lbs, so that’s a no go for me. Vitriolic is correct. Great word. You must like the letter V! Eventually, we will be victorious!
