Clue/Question:  He struggled putting up the wallpaper until he got this.

(Not bad!  I was able to BREEZEyesterday’s answer – through the first three clue words, but then got hung up on “fibula”.  I wrote out 13 different attempts at unscrambling BUAFIL, but to no avail.  13 is not really all that many.  I guess I’m just getting a little lazy, because I quickly jumped to the cartoon, to take a stab at the answer, with the letters from the first three clue words.  Fortunately, the answer was pretty easy, and I figured out I needed an F and an A in the circles for clue word number four.  Not a lot of words – I can’t even think of one, right now – end with a single F, so I thought: starts with F and ends with A.  That’s when “fibula” hit me.  Kind of ironic, when you consider that I broke my fibula this past January!  The only bone I’ve ever broken in my entire life!  But, I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of you had trouble getting that word, as well as me.  With three vowels, I’m sure some of you looked for a word that might start with a vowel.  Only three of my thirteen attempts did so, because the three consonants didn’t really lend themselves to that kind of word.  But, I’m beginning to babble, so I better wrap it up.  Be well, my friends, and try to do good.)   —   YUR

Yeah, after breezing through yesterday’s Jumble, today’s was a challenge. I got hung somewhat hung up on “Bison” (have we seen that one before? I think I remember having trouble with that one in the past).

Your experience with “Fibula” mirrors exactly what I did. I was looking at starts-with-a-vowel combos and variations on different vowel groupings (ai, au, etc) with no luck. After multiple attempts (I didn’t count how many, tho), I backed into it after answering the (easy) question.

Lots of queries are coming in today as a result of BUAFIL, Keith.

FIBULA! TIBIA! METATARSAL! Enough with the leg bones! Either I am breaking one or struggling over one! YUR, remember we were in casts/boots at the same time this winter! I need no more reminders! P.S.-20 tries for me on FIBULA until I half way cheated!

I still have residual stiffness and swelling, in my ankle. Overall, it’s much improved, and essentially pain free. But, it’s still in the back of my mind, in everything I do.

Me, too! Flip-flops don’t help! Doc told me it would take a YEAR to completely heal! Oh, well…at least we are walking!!!!

Fortunately for me, I don’t wear flip-flops. But, I do walk around barefoot, mainly inside. I’ve noticed that, even though I didn’t break any bones in my foot, when I do walk barefoot – especially on a hard floor – there’s this little *irritation*, and instability, on the outer ball of my foot. Right below the pinkie toe, parallel to wear I sometimes experience gout. Could be some kind of bone spur. Been thinking about getting it checked out.
