(A little on the violent and gruesome side, but still a great quote!  I wonder in what context did he come up with this?!?!  Why make the effort, and put yourself at risk, for something that is ultimately going to achieve the same result?  Not exactly my favorite President, though.  He did set up the FTC, but it’s hard to forgive a guy for the Treaty of Versailles and Prohibition . . . and his apparent enthusiasm of the KKK!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

NAEAR  =  ARENA,  VAOEB  =  ABOVE,  ZAABEL  =  ABLAZE,  AFRDIT  =  ADRIFT   —   Giving us:  EBEZER

Clue/Question:  Determining the wind speed on a calm day is this.

Answer:  A BREEZE

(Much like this Jumble was a breeze.  As soon as I got “above” I said to myself: I bet all the clue words are going to start with A today, and I was right.  To what end, I don’t know!  They were very run of the mill words, and none of the As were used in the answer.  Maybe, it was just for the novelty of it.  It didn’t make it any harder, that is for sure.  Unless there’s some deep symbolism here, like a dopey M. Night Shyamalan film, which I don’t particularly care for either, I don’t think today’s is very good.  C’ést la vie!  Better luck tomorrow.  Take care, friends.)   —   YUR
